COP28: unlocking Kosovo's renewable energy potential

COP28, the 28th Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, was held in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023. 

As a founder of iRN LLC, I had the opportunity to attend the event and participate in a number of discussions and events.

For us the main take from the event was commitment to triple renewable energy generation by 2030. 

As a company we will continue to support private sector in identifying and developing new renewable energy projects.

We are committed to enhance public – private dialogue aiming at streamlining administrative procedures, improving access to finance, and building solid pipeline of implementable renewable projects. 

We will also explore innovative solutions to improve business model of intermittent renewable generation projects by integrating energy storage solutions as integral part of the project (BESS, hydrogen,…) but also introducing utility scale solutions like pumped storage that can support future RES projects integration.
